WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Mon. Apr 1, 2024
- Arrive at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
- Check into the hotel.
- Meet at 4:30 pm at the hotel lobby and get to know your J² Expert Educator who will accompany you throughout your mission.
- Understanding the Context: Look back to October 7 and towards the future with your expert educator.
- Meet with researcher, editor, and columnist Shmuel Rosner, who will provide a briefing about the latest developments in the region. Shmuel is the editor of the "THE MADAD" project for politics, society, identity, and culture in Israel. Writes a weekly column at the Jewish Journal in Los Angeles.
- Opening dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3
BUILDING RESILIENCE
Tue. Apr 2, 2024
- Meet with members of Brothers for Life, a non-profit organization, created and run by injured Israeli veterans, which gives critical and immediate help to other injured Israeli combat veterans who sacrificed their lives for the safety of the Jewish people.
- Due to a lack of workers, Israelis now volunteer to work in agriculture. Harvest fields in the Rishon LeZion area in order to provide fresh produce for the country with Leket.
- Spend time with Lee Seigel, brother of Keith who is still being held hostage, sister-in-law Aviva was released after 51 days. Hear their stories and learn about the work they are doing every day to ensure the safe return of their loved ones.
- Hostages Square has become a national center for the struggle for the return of the hostages. Join Rabbi Binyamin Minich and members of his community from Kehillat Daniel in a visit to the Square and lend your voice to this crucial struggle.

BEARING WITNESS

- Drive south to the Gaza Envelope.
- Visit Sderot, the largest town located on Israel’s border with the Gaza, and see the reality on the ground.
- Meet with Chen Kotler Abrahams, a resident of Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Walk with her through her community today, as she shares the stories of this once-vibrant home, what happened there on October 7th and her hopes for the future.
- Head to the site of the Nova Festival massacre near Kibbutz Re'im.
- Drive back to Tel Aviv.
- At the hotel, debrief the events of the day.

EXTENDING OUR HAND
Thu. Apr 4, 2024
- Check out of the hotel.
- Meet with members of the Parents' Circle – Families Forum (PCFF), the Israeli/Palestinian Bereaved Families for Peace (Pending confirmation).
- Bake babka for soldiers and displaced families with Nissimmi Naim Naor, a chef who works in the realms of memory, culture, identity and tradition. Hear from Nissimmi about his experience during the war and how he believes food can bring comfort in times of need.
- Our memory as a people is a key ingredient in who we are today. Visit the Western Wall - the Kotel - to remember, to spend individual time for prayer and reflection, and to recall that all Jews are responsible one for the other.
- Meet Professor Rabbi Dalia Marx for a learning session on the crucial importance of redeeming of captives (pidyon shvuyim).
- Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
- Transfer to Ben-Gurion International Airport for your flight back.
- For those who are staying at the hotel for extra nights, there is an option to transfer to Tel Aviv.

- 4 days of touring with a J² Expert Educator (guide), 4 days of touring in a luxury, air-conditioned bus.

- Gratuities: Recommend guidelines for tipping are provided in the terms section.
- US and foreign airport taxes, Q fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable.
- Value Added Tax is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel. Should the law change, you will be notified accordingly, and VAT will be added to your final invoice.

- Validity | All prices quoted are based on exchange rates as of the proposal date and are subject to change without notice. Rates are per person and are based on shared twin room occupancy.
- How to Make a Reservation | The quickest way to make a reservation is to register online or contact us by email. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required in order to complete the registration process.

- Payments | The balance of your payment is due on March 1, 2024. You will receive an email reminder 2 weeks before this date. Various payment options are available as follows:
- Credit card | We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please check with your credit card provider regarding international processing fees. We are unable to process payments of over $1,000 over the phone. Please submit payment online via a credit card or by wiring funds via your bank.
- Domestic bank wire transfer | Payment should be wired in the same currency that is listed on your invoice. Please add the name of your group or invoice number as a reference and forward a copy of the transfer receipt by email. The bank transfer should clearly state the beneficiary’s name on the wire transfer.
- J² Adventures reserves the right to automatically cancel your reservation on that date and it may be subject to reconfirmation should the final payment not be received.
- Cancelation Policy | All cancelations need to be made in writing. The cancelation fee depends on the date when we receive written notification of your request to cancel your booking. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancelation fees | Cancelations made 89 to 46 days prior to departure incur the loss of 50% of the full trip cost. Cancelations made 45 days or less prior to the departure incur the loss of 100% of the full trip cost.
- Cancelation fees may also include: Hotel or supplier cancelation fees. J² Adventures reserves the right to adjust its terms of payment, including cancelation policies and initial deposits.
- Mobility: Solidarity missions are specifically strenuous, and our visits include places that are inaccessible to people who may have mobility challenges. You should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: In some cases you may need to run to a shelter, if you have questions regarding this matter please speak to a J² representative.
